What services can you expect at La Coutanière? Here is an overview:

Opening dates: The hotel is open all year round.

Check-in / Check-out: Check-in is possible from 3:00 p.m. Check-out is possible until 11:00 a.m.

Food:

Breakfast : The continental breakfast buffet is served in the dining room or on the garden terrace between 8:00 and 10:00. If you wish to have breakfast earlier, this is also possible upon request. Breakfast is offered for €15 per person; €7.50 for children < 12 years old.

Dinner :

Dinner is served between 7:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. in the dining room or garden terrace. It is a three-course menu that changes daily. The price is €35 per person. Every day the menu is displayed at the reception. For children we offer a two-course children's menu (€12.50 p.p.).

Reception : The reception is open from 7 a.m. to midnight.

Pool : The heated swimming pool is open from the beginning of May to the end of September. Pool hours are 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Wireless Internet: There is WiFi available in common areas as well as in the rooms. Wifi is free of charge.

Bar/lounge: Three beautiful salons are at your disposal which serve as a bar/lounge. We serve all kinds of drinks. You can also sit on the outdoor terrace where you will also be served.

Park : The castle is located in the middle of an 11 hectare English landscaped park. The green spaces around the castle are at your disposal.

Bikes: If you have bicycles, you can store them free of charge in our outbuilding. Let us know and we will help you. If you want to rent bikes; there are several providers in Saumur. We recommend that you do not hesitate to take the bike.

Babies: Babies are welcome at La Coutancière. If we can help you, please let us know. We have a baby cot, baby chair, changing mattrass and bottle warmer available. If you want to reheat your baby's meals, we can also do that for you with the microwave.

Games : Different games are at your disposal in the TV lounge. You can also use the chessboard in the garden.

Closing of the entry gates: The castle gates close at midnight. If you wish to return later, please let us know.

Pets: Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate them.

Heating : All rooms in the castle can be well heated, also in winter.

Payment methods accepted: You can pay by bank card, credit card or cash.

Parking: Parking is available next to the hotel. This is offered free of charge.

Smoking and fire safety: Smoking is prohibited in the building. The castle is equipped with advanced fire alarm including emergency lighting, smoke detectors, fire doors and fire extinguishers.

Accessibility standards: All rooms are located in the castle on the first and second floors. There is no elevator in the castle, but otherwise the entire building meets accessibility standards including an exterior ramp. If we can help you with anything, please let us know.

Environment : We encourage limiting car use and using alternative options such as cycling and hiking. The area surrounding the hotel is ideal for cycling. We therefore encourage you to bring your bike or rent bikes (for example in Saumur there are many rental companies). There are also some lovely hiking routes which we would be happy to tell you more about when you stay here.

The amenities in the rooms:

Heating : All rooms can be well heated, also in winter.

Bedding: All rooms have comfortable 180cmx200cm beds. The Classic Suite has a 19th century four-poster bed measuring 150cm x 200cm. In addition to a double bed, the family suite also has two single beds measuring 90cmx200cm.

Safe : If you wish to use a safe, this is available upon request at reception.

Luggage rack : All rooms have a luggage rack.

Television: All rooms have a flat screen TV on which you can watch French channels. A television with international channels is available in the TV lounge on the ground floor.

Small fridge: All rooms have a small fridge.

Courtesy tray : All rooms have a courtesy tray.

Cleaning : The rooms are well cleaned every day. A stay-over will be carried out every day during your stay.

Ironing board : There is an ironing board at your disposal at reception. Let us know and we will deliver it to you.

Alarm clock : If you need an alarm clock, in all rooms there is an alarm clock in a drawer of the bedside table.
